Lyons Community Foundation Scholarship Fund in Memory of Steve Ralston

Steve Ralston was an active leader in the Lyons community with a passion for learning. In memory of Steve, a fund has been established through LCF for the purpose of providing a scholarship to a senior student enrolled at Lyons Senior High School. The student who receives this merit-based scholarship must demonstrate a range of interests, a passion for pursuit of learning, and exemplary knowledge of and commitment to the Lyons community. The scholarship funds may be used for any accredited post-secondary education program.

The scholarship was awarded to Andrew Roberts in 2009, and Jenna Polsen in 2010.

LCF announces 2011 granting cycle

The Lyons Community Foundation (LCF) is pleased to announce the schedule for its 2011 grants cycle.

Grant applications to LCF are due by September 8, 2011. Grants may be submitted beginning on August 1, 2011. Electronic submissions are required. Applicants are asked to follow the LCF 2011 Grant Guidelines which can be accessed on the LCF website, www.LyonsCF.org.

LCF welcomes the participation of community members who wish to serve on the Grants Review Committee, which is separate from LCF’s Advisory Board. Applications to serve on the Grants Review Committee should be submitted between August 1 and September 2, 2011.

This will be LCF’s fourth year of granting.  LCF is pleased to be able to support a wide variety of community organizations and projects.  LCF is a community funded organization and needs your support to continue.  Email or call info@LyonsCF.org, 720.29LYONS, for more information or to get involved.
