Spring is shaping up to be an exciting season for the Lyons community — and the Lyons Community Foundation has plenty of ways for you to get involved.

Poker Night at Lyons Locale – February 19

We’re upping the ante this February with a community poker night hosted by Lyons Locale on Thursday, February 19. Join us for an evening of cards, camaraderie, and community impact.

The $20 buy-in goes directly to LCF to support local grants, scholarships, and community initiatives. Winners earn bragging rights — and the satisfaction of knowing they’ve made a positive difference right here in Lyons.

Even if poker isn’t your game, you can still join the fun. Lyons Locale is generously donating $2 from every drink sold — including mocktails — to LCF. Come cheer on the players, raise a glass, and support your community.

Lucky Lyons Fun Run – March 7

If running is more your speed, mark your calendar for the fifth annual Lyons Lucky Fun Run, sponsored by Gemini Adventures, on Saturday, March 7.

The morning kicks off with a 10K at 10:00 a.m., followed by a 5K at 10:10 a.m. Register at geminiadventures.com to join the fun.

Gemini Adventures generously donates all proceeds above event costs to LCF. In return, LCF provides volunteers to help make the event a success. Interested in volunteering? Reach out to info@lyonscf.org — we’d love to have you join us.

Scholarships Now Open

Proceeds from both Poker Night and the Lucky Lyons Fun Run help fund future community events, local grants, and scholarships — and scholarship applications are now open.

In 2026, LCF will administer six individual scholarships awarded to ten outstanding high school seniors attending Lyons High School or residing within the 80540 zip code to support their academic or vocational goals.
