Every spring, the Lyons Community Foundation awards scholarships to local high school seniors who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, resilience, and a deep commitment to their community. These awards are only possible because of the generous support from individuals and families like you. By donating to the general scholarship fund, you help ensure that cost isn’t a barrier to higher education for the next class of Lyons graduates.

Scholarship Information
The Lyons Community Foundation offers six community based of scholarships ranging between $2,500 and $5,500 for graduating high school students from the greater Lyons area. In May 2025, the LCF awarded $33,300 in scholarships to twelve Lyons area graduating seniors. Offering scholarships to Lyons area graduating seniors began in 2009 with a single $500 scholarship. To date, $107,000 in scholarship funds have been awarded to nearly 80 college bound students.
LCF 4-YEAR MISSION SCHOLARSHIP.
Four scholarships of $3,100 each offered by the Lyons Community Foundation, will recognize graduating seniors from Lyons Senior High School, graduating seniors living in the greater Lyons area (80540 zip code) attending a different high school, or home schooled students from the greater Lyons area who embody LCF's mission of improving the quality of life, building a culture of giving, and encouraging positive change for the greater Lyons area.
