LCF Spring Newsletter : March 2021

Thank you for helping us reach our year-end goal!   We are immensely grateful for the many generous residents who appreciate what we do and who helped us surpass our goal of $30,000 through their monthly and year-end contributions. You are our angels and we need all of you so that TOGETHER, we can improve the quality of life and encourage positive change in the greater Lyons area. Thanks to your enthusiastic response when we asked for your help mid-year for the Lyons Share Fund as well as at the end of the year with our general appeal, our overall revenue for 2020 was $86,658.   Together, we can make a difference right here in our community! Did you know that LCF granted over $100k in 2020?   2020 was an extraordinary year for grants! LCF granted a total of $101,000, which is more than double the amount we typically grant. Due to the pandemic, an extra $58,000 was awarded for COVID-19 support both for local businesses and individuals.  For more details regarding LCF's contributions in 2020, see the 2020 Annual Report for the Town of Lyons.       Thank you Monthly Donors! LCF is extremely grateful to the following people who have supported the organization over the past several years through their monthly contributions: Debbie and Steve Simms, George and Sally Pillsbury, Sandy and Lloyd Banta, Larry Quinn and Linda Backup, Laurie Miller and Warren Groom, Reena Rotz, Kathy and Scott Leiding, Kathleen Crane, Robert and Pam Freeman. Thanks to their ongoing support, LCF has been able to invest a total of $85,020.65 into our community. If the past year has taught us anything, it is that having a reliable and predictable income allows us to meet the needs of our community in times of crisis. LCF was able to rise to the occasion in 2013 when the flood hit our small community and then again in 2020 when the coronavirus affected our economic and physical health.   How can you help?
