Rebuilding Lyons Strong

The Lyons Community Foundation granted more than $1.5 million to flood recovery efforts in the aftermath of the flood of 2013.  While many persistent needs exist, the Rebuild Lyons fund has been expired. The town of Lyons and surrounding area could not have responded so directly and quickly to this major natural disaster without the help of all those who contributed to the efforts. Without the existence of the Lyons Community Foundation, relief efforts would not have been available to respond so swiftly and directly. We are grateful for support received locally and from across the country.
Rebuild Lyons-One Life at a Time was the foundation of early flood relief efforts.  Through a partnership with LEAF (Lyons Emergency Assistance Fund), LCF awarded $984,965 to address the critical needs of individuals and families immediately following the flood.   The One Life at a Time project granted gifts of up to $5,000 directly to 290 individuals and families   Ongoing efforts detailed below descibe the incredible work that continues to go on to support the recovery efforts of those in the greater Lyons Area.
